New B777-200 Level D Full-Motion Sim Added to World’s Most Diverse Training Fleet February 28, 2013

February 28, 2013 — Miami Pan Am International Flight Academy announced today “all systems go” in the installation and commission of their new Boeing 777 Level-D full-motion simulator at their Miami academy headquarters on the Miami International Airport.

This B777 Level-D simulator has enhanced definition visual systems using satellite imagery as well as sophisticated weather and lighting effects to create highly realistic training scenarios for pilots. This brings the total number of commercial jet simulators in Miami to 20, making Pan Am the largest simulator training provider in the Miami area.

Gregory Darrow, Senior Director of Sales at Pan Am states, “This simulator is available for immediate flight training.  We’ll continue to acquire additional simulators in 2013, with more details to be announced at WATS 2013.” The World Aviation Training Conference and Tradeshow (WATS) is being held in Orlando, Florida on April 16-18 where the company is a participant.

Miami Jan 8, 2013 — Pan Am International Flight Academy announced today that it has acquired Airline Career Academy (ACA), a leading pilot training academy specializing in JAA/EASA and FAA Ab Initio training. ACA will be integrated into Pan Am’s operations to offer world class professional pilot training programs that enhance Pan Am’s core business of comprehensive solutions for airlines. The acquisition was finalized December 31st and all training will continue to operate under the Pan Am International Flight Academy brand with no interruption of service.

Private Pilots and Instrument Rating Pilots Train At Pan Am Academy Flight SchoolAirline Career Academy was established in 1995 and trains an estimated 250 pilots annually. Through this acquisition, the Academy is approved to deliver JAA/EASA and FAA initial pilot training at Pan Am’s new facilities in Kissimmee/Orlando, Merritt Island, and Ft. Lauderdale Florida, supported with offices in Costa Rica, UK, Italy and Spain. “We have always been impressed with ACA’s operations,” said Vito Cutrone, Pan Am’s Chief Executive Officer.  For airlines and pilot candidates, Pan Am now offers complete JAA/EASA and FAA cadet pilot training packages from zero flight time thru airline type ratings. TOKYO December 1, 2011 – ANA Group, Japan’s largest airline group, today announced it established panda Flight Academy to train licensed and employed pilots for changing the license of aircraft and for promotion, necessary for future expansions, including the Low Cost Carrier ventures.

The company will provide pilots with the training using the simulators in order to assist them shifting the license to A320 for civil aviation businesses.
The new panda Flight Academy will be set up with 75 million yen as the initial capital. The Academy will have both B737NG and A320 plane simulators and is expected to be operational by May next year.

The ownership is split between ANA and ANA Trading Co. Ltd (51% and 49% respectively). Katsumi Nakamura, ANA Executive Vice President of Flight Operations, will be assigned as the CEO of the company.

The academy will be built upon ANA’s established experience as a provider of high-quality training with the cooperation of Pan Am International Flight Academy, the leading pilot training company in the United States.

The new company will be located at Higashi-kojiya, Ota-ku, Tokyo, and will be equipped with the two simulator bays and 11 classrooms.
