Miami Nov. 2, 2011– Pan Am International Flight Academy is participating as a Gold Sponsor and speaker at the first annual Gulf Aviation Training Event (GATE 2011) being held November 14 and 15 at the Dubai Airport Expo in conjunction with the Dubai Airshow (13-17 Nov) in Dubai, Arab Emirates.

The GATES training event is aimed at key policy-makers in flight training, emphasizing the conference’s critical role in seeking solutions to the region’s demand for flight crew to meet the requirements of Middle East airlines.

Captain Gregory Darrow, Pan Am’s Senior Director of Sales & Marketing will be the guest panelist along with Captain Jacques Drappier, Senior Training Advisor for Airbus S.A.S., addressing the topic: “Overcoming the Challenges in Using Evidence-based Training (EBT)”. The forum moderator is Captain Martin Mahoney, Senior Vice President of Flight Training for Emirates Airline.

Some of the key questions that will be addressed during this forum session are: Will Evidenced-based Training become mandatory; where will EBT fit into regulations; will EBT require additional instructor and evaluator training; and how do FAA and EASA differ with respect to evidence-based training?

Pan Am will not only participate in the forum discussions at GATES, but will be on hand during the event as a Gold Sponsor exhibitor. Nearly 60,000 people are expected to attend the five-day Airshow event now in its 22nd year. The show is firmly established as a key event on the international aerospace calendar consistently delivering key buyers and decision makers – offering  unrivalled access to the Middle East aerospace market in a highly focused environment.
